Description
Fourth of four prints illustrating four HC category climbs from La Vuelta a España, the final Grand Tour of the cycling season.
The diagonal illustrates the 7.3% gradient of the climb from it’s starting point above sea level to the summit of 1830m. Colours represent the desolate, sun-baked surface.
Hors Catégorie (HC) is a term used in stage bicycle races to designate a climb that is “beyond categorisation”. The term was originally used for those mountain roads where cars were not expected to be able to pass.
