Description
One of four prints illustrating four HC category climbs from La Vuelta a España, the final Grand Tour of the cycling season.
The diagonal illustrates the 9.8% gradient of the climb from it’s starting point above sea level to the summit. Colours represent the terrain of dense woodlands to the exposed rock along the route.
Hors Catégorie (HC) is a term used in stage bicycle races to designate a climb that is “beyond categorisation”. The term was originally used for those mountain roads where cars were not expected to be able to pass.
